Bio

We are both graduates of Kansas State University, where we met. During our college years we each developed a deeper love of the Lord and a great appreciation for the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Amy came to know the Lord as a Freshman through the ministry. Doug arrived at K-State as a believer, but began to understand the importance of a personal walk with the Lord as a student. After I (Doug) graduated, I came on staff and my first assignment was in Springfield, MO, at Southwest Missouri State. Two years later, we were married and Amy joined me in Springfield. We have now been married for 19 years and have 4 children; Stephen age 15, Katie, age 13, Alan, age 9, and Matthew, 6.

We have been on staff with Campus Crusade together since 1989 and served for eight years at Southwest Missouri State. From 1996-1998, we spent two years leading a team and directing the campus ministry in Debrecen, Hungary, a country that is dear to our hearts after having spent several summers there on various summer projects. After returning from Hungary in 1998, we moved to St. Louis and have continued working with college students with the St. Louis Metro team. While in St. Louis, I (Doug) have had the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in theology at Covenant Theological Seminary, where I recently completed a Masters degree in Theological studies.

Our interests range from Shakespearean literature (Amy) to college football (Doug). Our diverse interests offer proof to us at least that God has a sense of humor when He brought us together. Though there is not much overlap in our personal interests, one thing we do share in common is a love for college students and a desire to do our part in helping fulfill the Great Commission. We count it a privilege to be a part of what God is doing on the college campus.
